I also want to recognize the entire team for their effort and commitment. Whether they placed or not, every athlete contributed by stepping up, competing hard, and pushing themselves to improve. That kind of effort is what builds a strong team, and it’s great to see so many athletes supporting each other and getting better each meet. Proud of this group!
Thank you for answering all the phone calls, solving all the mysteries, finding all the missing forms, calming all the chaos, and somehow keeping the copy machines working (which may be your most impressive skill of all). You are the unofficial tech support, calendar coordinators, problem-solvers, student helpers, parent greeters, and the friendly faces that keep our Viking schools running every single day.
Honestly, if schools ran on coffee, kindness, and miracles… you’d still be doing most of the work. ☕📎
We appreciate you more than words can say—thank you for everything you do for our Viking family!

Swan Valley Athletics is honoring 3 Middle School Viking Athletes of the Week from last week. Congratulations to Mara Whelton (MS Girls Track) and Parker Romanelli (MS Boys Track) for earning this prestigious award!
Here is what their nominators had to say about them fulfilling one or more of the Viking Athletic Core Values:
"Mara was outstanding in the first meet with her times as well as being encouraging to other athletes, picking them up with her positive and caring attitude. Her positivity is contagious to those around her and I am honored to be her coach this season."
"Parker Romanelli is being recognized for his outstanding effort and dedication during his first year on the track team. As a new athlete, Parker has shown incredible commitment to improving his shot put skills by consistently putting in extra work, even practicing on weekends on his own time. His hard work paid off immediately, as he won his very first meet in shot put. Parker’s determination, self-motivation, and willingness to go above and beyond truly represent the Viking Athletic Core Values."
Viking Pride!
