🌱 Growing Something Big in STEM! 🌱 Our 6th grade STEM students have been hard at work creating an incredible 75-foot garden! This hands-on project is helping students learn about sustainability, plant science, and teamwork. We are now looking for a little community support to help bring our garden to life. We are in need of: Topsoil Compost Weed protection materials (landscape fabric, mulch, etc.) If you or someone you know would be willing to donate or help out, we would greatly appreciate it! Together, we can help our students grow something amazing 🌼🥕 Please reach out to mbrady@svsd.us if you’re interested in supporting our garden!

🌎✌️♻️Earth Day = Dirt, Teamwork, and a Whole Lot of Heart! ✨🌱✌️ Mr. Miller and Mrs. Blaesser’s science classes traded desks for fresh air and got their hands a little dirty (for a very good cause 💪). Our students took learning outside, cleaning up the school grounds and collecting bags of trash to help make our campus shine a little brighter! Turns out, saving the planet looks a lot like teamwork, laughter, and a few full trash bags 🗑️💚✌️🌎♻️ We’re so proud of these awesome Vikings for stepping up, taking action, and showing that even small efforts can make a BIG difference! #EarthDay #SVMSPride #VikingsInAction #LeaveItBetter #MakeEveryDayEarthDay

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to our incredible Viking secretaries across the entire district! 💜🤍

Thank you for answering all the phone calls, solving all the mysteries, finding all the missing forms, calming all the chaos, and somehow keeping the copy machines working (which may be your most impressive skill of all). You are the unofficial tech support, calendar coordinators, problem-solvers, student helpers, parent greeters, and the friendly faces that keep our Viking schools running every single day.

Honestly, if schools ran on coffee, kindness, and miracles… you’d still be doing most of the work. ☕📎

We appreciate you more than words can say—thank you for everything you do for our Viking family!

VIKING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (WEEK of April 13th)...

Swan Valley Athletics is honoring 3 Middle School Viking Athletes of the Week from last week. Congratulations to Mara Whelton (MS Girls Track) and Parker Romanelli (MS Boys Track) for earning this prestigious award!

Here is what their nominators had to say about them fulfilling one or more of the Viking Athletic Core Values:

"Mara was outstanding in the first meet with her times as well as being encouraging to other athletes, picking them up with her positive and caring attitude. Her positivity is contagious to those around her and I am honored to be her coach this season."

"Parker Romanelli is being recognized for his outstanding effort and dedication during his first year on the track team. As a new athlete, Parker has shown incredible commitment to improving his shot put skills by consistently putting in extra work, even practicing on weekends on his own time. His hard work paid off immediately, as he won his very first meet in shot put. Parker’s determination, self-motivation, and willingness to go above and beyond truly represent the Viking Athletic Core Values."

Viking Pride!
