We have decided due to the extremely low counts of request in response to March 30 - April 3, 2020 survey, we will need to remain closed. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We will be open and in operation on April 6, 2020 providing care for Essential Workers.

Swan Valley Learning Center families,
By now, I hope you have had a chance to digest the latest Executive Order from our Governor regarding Covid 19. In speaking with our Superintendent, we believe this means our center can only be open for the children of "critical infrastructure workers" otherwise we are all under a stay at home order until April 13, 2020. The details of the order and list of occupations can be found here: https://www.michigan.gov/whitmer/0,9309,7-387-90499_90705-522626--,00.html
Therefore, we need to know to which parents fall under this category in order to decide whether we have enough children to remain open.
By 4:00 today, if you are a "critical infrastructure worker" who chooses childcare, please reply to this email. The reply should provide:
Number of children to serve
Specific days and approximate time that childcare is needed.
This Executive decision will go into effect at 12:01 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
Due to COVID- 19 the water main valve repair has been delayed. We are considering opening the week of spring break (March 30th - April 3rd). We would like to ask you to take this survey so we have an idea of how many of our families would be interested in our services during this week. If we have enough request for our services we will open, if we do not then we would close during this week. If you could please take a moment to complete this survey, we would greatly appreciate it. If we could also ask for definite need verses maybe's to help us make our decision and to staff accordingly. If we are open add on's will not be a problem. During this week, there will be no program, only all daycare available. We are asking if you could please complete by March 24, 2020. We will post our decision based on your responses on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

We are holding strong through this crisis! Our students will be taking home breakfast and lunch for the weekend. Remember even if you child is not attending, they are distributing it at the front of the Swan Valley High School if you are in need of food.
I would like to take a moment to thank our SVLC Team for their hard work, dedication, and sacrifice during this difficult time we are all experiencing across the nation. We as a team realize the struggle and sacrifice many people in all fields of employment are experiencing by putting themselves at risk to assist in a time of need. We thank everyone involved for those services.
