Freshman Volleyball brought home a win in their first game of the season against St. Charles! Freshman and JV will play at home against Heritage on Thursday at 6:30. Come on out and support the lady Vikings!
Viking XC was at Uncle John's Cider Mill for the Marauder Invite. Top 30 in each race are medalists. The girls team was finally at full strength starting many new runners in a field of 99 runners, Reese Beery earned 12th place and Aubrey Hare 19th.
The boys took 4th/11 place to three D1 schools. Medalists for the boys were Owen Hare 2nd place, Ryder Stipanovich 23rd, Spencer Dammann 26th. Owen Hare and Logan Selasky came in with 31st and 33rd place respectively.

Attention any Swan Valley High School students and parents / guardians interested in Freshman, JV, or Varsity Baseball in the spring! There will be a pre-season informational meeting in the high school library tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4th at 5:45 p.m. This is for both prospective players and parents / guardians. The new Varsity coach will be introduced along with the sharing of off-season information.

RALLY IN THE VALLEY AND 1ST ANNUAL SWAN VALLEY SPORTS HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND, 5:30 P.M.
The Rally in the Valley Event for the 2024-2025 school year will be on Saturday, November 2nd at 5:30 p.m. at the Horizons Conference Center (please see attached flier). Also, the Swan Valley Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place as a part of the Rally with the ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m. and dinner to follow. In the first year of the Hall of Fame, Swan Valley's 5 team state champions and first 2 individual state champions, Mario Guerrero and Leah Dixon, will be honored.
The Rally is a huge fundraiser for the SVAA which helps fund thousands of dollars of equipment and uniforms for Swan Valley Athletics. Come on out and show your support for Swan Valley athletes and honor our state champions, all while having a good time!

What a great week it has been! Swan Valley School District staff had its opening Kick-Off on Tuesday. After a scrumptious breakfast prepared by our Food Service Department, staff congregated in the gym for our “Viking vs Viking” traditional battle of building against building. This competition turns these fine educators back into students again! The 2024-2025 winner for the coveted Viking Trophy is…..Shields Elementary. Swan Valley staff are ready to welcome back all of our Vikings on Monday morning!
Yesterday boys soccer beat Nouvel 3-0. Another dominating defense performance and 3rd shutout for Trenton McDonald in goal. The team's record improves to 4-0 on the season.

VIKING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (WEEK OF AUGUST 12TH)
Congratulations to Kaydence Walsh for earning Viking Athlete of the Week from the week of August 12th! Kaydence is the first Swan Valley athlete to be honored with this prestigious award in the 24-25 school year. Here is what the Swan Valley Volleyball Coaching Staff had to say about Kaydence:
"Kaydence has been active in basketball and volleyball over the summer. She attends almost all of the workouts and always has a smile on her face. She has also been a part of scrimmages for the volleyball program. She will play for any team that needs her and will happily fill any position that is needed. We are happy to have Kaydence at the high school and look forward to seeing her growth these next 4 years."
