Swan Valley JV girls continue to roll with 4 straight wins, bringing their record to 6-2. The lady Vikings started the week out against Bridgeport. The girls handled the defensive pressure from Bridgeport well with awesome ball movement and patience. Poppy Weyand led the way with impressive defense and a 29 point performance!! Norah Jennings also played a solid game adding 9 points. It was a team effort defensively leading the Lady Vikings to a 52-20 win. Tonight, the Lady Vikings took on their cross town rivals, Freeland. The girls battled hard setting the tone defensively. Alaina Lafond and Gabby Price led the way with 11 points each. Olivia Randall played a key role in her leadership on the floor as Freeland tried to make a comeback at the end. Vikings came out on top with a 38-28 victory! Go Vikings!

The Vikings took on the Carrollton Cavaliers at Monitor Lanes on Saturday. Unfortunately, the boys team struggled on the lanes and lost their matches with a score of 28-2. The Lady Vikings also struggled but were able to pull off the win with a score of 23-7.

Our team, along with all of the other participating teams and spectators had a moment of silence for Justin Hartwick. Justin was a 2025 graduate of Swan Valley. He was a member of the bowling team for 2 years. He will be greatly missed. ONCE A VIKING, ALWAYS A VIKING!

Next Saturday our Vikings will be battling against the Freeland Falcons at Alert Lanes with a starting time of 10 AM. Come on out and cheer them on!

Christmas

Yesterday the Viking Bowlers held their home meet against Nouvel CC. At our meet we honored Senior Maxwell Fleming. Max has been a part of the team since his sophomore year. Max has shown so much approvement through the years, bowling several games over 200 and serving as the important roll of anchor at several meets.

The Viking Boys took on the Panther Boys and got the win with a score of 20-10. This is their first win this season. Their teamwork and competitive spirit shows. Sophomore Cayden Napora bowled his best game yet this season with a 133. Congratulations Cayden!

The Lady Vikings went against the Lady Panthers and got the win 19-11. The Ladies are really developing their skills and the results are beginning to show. Junior Asialyn Barrett has bowled her highest game of the season with a 130. All of the hard work Asialyn keeps putting in every week during practice is paying off. Freshman Zoë Ecker keeps showing off her hard work as well with bowling a 142 yesterday.

Our next meet is on Jan. 3rd at Monitor Lanes at 1 p.m. We will be taking on Carrollton. The bowling team would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!
