In other news, some of Swan Valley's students and athletes competed in the Farwell Regional Powerlifting Championship on Saturday. Swan Valley walked away with the championship trophy!

Varsity Competitive Cheer took to the mat for their 2nd TVC meet @ Freeland and came home with a 4th place finish. Big improvement from last week taking 7th. GREAT JOB ladies!!!!! Next meet is 1/21 6PM @ Frankenmuth. Come out and support the girls. Go Vikes!




Varsity wrestling went 4-1 on Saturday placing 2nd in the 10 team Josh Gooding Invitational. The Vikings beat Division 4, 7th Ranked, Springport to win their pool before falling to Hastings in the finals.

The Viking Bowlers took on the Freeland Falcons at Alert Lanes. The Lady Vikings came away with wins in both the Bakers and the Petersons, earning a final score of 22-8. Ella Holnagel had a great day with games of 148 and 153. Congratulations to all the ladies. Keep up the hard work!
The Viking Boys struggled to beat the Falcons and lost with a final score of 27-3 despite some season high games by two of our players. Congratulations to Parker Filer with a 169 game and Clark Lowrey with a 144 game. Great job boys!
Our next meet is against the Frankenmuth Eagles at Valley Lanes in Midland. Starting time is 8 AM. Please be aware that seating space is very limited.

Swan Valley grappler Alex Schram is up for Saginaw-area top high school player of the week from his stellar performance on Saturday by winning his weight class and the upper weight MVP at the Saginaw County Championships. You can vote for Alex up until 11 p.m. on Thursday at the following link:

Our team, along with all of the other participating teams and spectators had a moment of silence for Justin Hartwick. Justin was a 2025 graduate of Swan Valley. He was a member of the bowling team for 2 years. He will be greatly missed. ONCE A VIKING, ALWAYS A VIKING!
Next Saturday our Vikings will be battling against the Freeland Falcons at Alert Lanes with a starting time of 10 AM. Come on out and cheer them on!
The Viking Bowling Team wants to wish Viking Country a Very Merry Christmas!

Yesterday the Viking Bowlers held their home meet against Nouvel CC. At our meet we honored Senior Maxwell Fleming. Max has been a part of the team since his sophomore year. Max has shown so much approvement through the years, bowling several games over 200 and serving as the important roll of anchor at several meets.
The Viking Boys took on the Panther Boys and got the win with a score of 20-10. This is their first win this season. Their teamwork and competitive spirit shows. Sophomore Cayden Napora bowled his best game yet this season with a 133. Congratulations Cayden!
The Lady Vikings went against the Lady Panthers and got the win 19-11. The Ladies are really developing their skills and the results are beginning to show. Junior Asialyn Barrett has bowled her highest game of the season with a 130. All of the hard work Asialyn keeps putting in every week during practice is paying off. Freshman Zoë Ecker keeps showing off her hard work as well with bowling a 142 yesterday.
Our next meet is on Jan. 3rd at Monitor Lanes at 1 p.m. We will be taking on Carrollton. The bowling team would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!
If attending tonight 's wrestling stage dual or boys / girls basketball games at Frankenmuth, the west side of the high school is wrestling in the auditorium/ Bronner Performing Arts Center (BPAC) and the east side is basketball in the gym. The doors at the gym and the auditorium will be the only entrances. Once indoors, people can walk through the halls to get to and from the gym and the auditorium.
