RALLY IN THE VALLEY AND 1ST ANNUAL SWAN VALLEY SPORTS HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND, 5:30 P.M.
The Rally in the Valley Event for the 2024-2025 school year will be on Saturday, November 2nd at 5:30 p.m. at the Horizons Conference Center (please see attached flier). Also, the Swan Valley Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place as a part of the Rally with the ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m. and dinner to follow. In the first year of the Hall of Fame, Swan Valley's 5 team state champions and first 2 individual state champions, Mario Guerrero and Leah Dixon, will be honored.
The Rally is a huge fundraiser for the SVAA which helps fund thousands of dollars of equipment and uniforms for Swan Valley Athletics. Come on out and show your support for Swan Valley athletes and honor our state champions, all while having a good time!

The SVMS Cross Country team enjoyed a fantastic day of team bonding, overcoming fears, and lots of FUN!!! We travelled to the WHOA Zone in Holly for hours of water obstacles, buoy relay races, beach volleyball,bonding activities, and a hot dog cookout!! We are so excited to see this team come together and crush the trails this fall!!

What a great week it has been! Swan Valley School District staff had its opening Kick-Off on Tuesday. After a scrumptious breakfast prepared by our Food Service Department, staff congregated in the gym for our “Viking vs Viking” traditional battle of building against building. This competition turns these fine educators back into students again! The 2024-2025 winner for the coveted Viking Trophy is…..Shields Elementary. Swan Valley staff are ready to welcome back all of our Vikings on Monday morning!

Swan Valley School District is excited to offer free breakfast and lunch to ALL students in the 2024-2025 school year thanks to the Michigan Healthy School Meals Program! Even though meals will be provided for free, it is IMPORTANT for families to continue sharing household income information in order for our school to receive full access to federal and state funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to. Attention Swan Valley Middle and High School Parents / Guardians of students interested in participating in Swan Valley Athletics this school year! Please see the information below on the upcoming Ascension Sports Physical Clinic and the Meet the Coaches Night:
ASCENSION MEDICAL GROUP SPORTS PHYSICAL CLINIC
Ascension Medical Group will hold its last summer sports physical clinic for high school students only on Thursday, August 1st from 4-7 p.m. Middle school athletes are to see their primary care provider. Please see the attached flier for more information. Prior to the clinic, the 2 page MHSAA Sports Physical Form will need to be printed off or obtained from the Swan Valley Athletic Office. A parent / guardian must complete the form in its entirety. The form can be accessed at the following link: https://5il.co/2r977.
MEET THE COACHES NIGHT - MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 6-7 PM
(SWAN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL)
On Monday, August 5th from 6-7 p.m. in the old auditorium of Swan Valley High School, the Swan Valley Athletic Department will host a “Meet the Coaches Night” for all middle school and high school athletes and their parents / guardians. This will be an opportunity to meet some of the coaches on staff, ask questions, and hear from the Swan Valley Athletic Association on how to become a member and get more involved to support Swan Valley Athletics. There will also be information on Swan Valley’s All Sports Passes, points of emphasis from the athletic handbooks, and changes for the upcoming school year. If you are new to middle school or high school sponsored sports or have any questions, you are encouraged to attend.

Registration Day is August 14th! Detailed information will be coming next week via email, but in the meantime you can order your school pictures at the LifeTouch portal any time!
