Swan Valley Girls Track Team Shines at Garber! The Swan Valley Middle School girls track team delivered a dominant performance at the Garber MS Tri Meet, capturing two team victories, 79-49 over Garber and 86-50 over Alma. The girls showcased exceptional talent across the board. Standout Performances: Clara Irvine soared to 1st place in the high jump with a mark of 4’4”, leading a strong showing in the event with teammates Kyra Ortner (4th), Azalia Johnston (5th), and Evelyn Miller (6th) also placing. In the 55m hurdles, Swan Valley swept multiple top positions with Penelope Weyand placing 2nd (10.22), Nalini Nguyen 3rd (10.71), and Clara Irvine again impressing in 4th (10.82). Stella Frantz dominated the 70m dash, taking 1st place with a time of 10.05 seconds, outpacing a deep field of sprinters. In the 200m hurdles, Swan Valley earned a 1-2-3 finish led by Weyand (1st), Irvine (2nd), and RadeWahn (3rd), showcasing their depth in hurdles. Addison Ball won the 400 meters (1:10.38), with strong support from Olivea Hernandez (3rd) and Lorraine Danielski (6th). In the distance events, Evelyn Miller finished 2nd in the 1600m (6:41.24), and Gianna Rodarte led Swan Valley in the 3200m, finishing 2nd overall. The girls 4x100m and 4x400m relays were both victorious for Swan Valley. In the long jump, Alexis Unger and Krislyn Thomas tied for 5th (12’3.5”) while Ryelle Thompson placed 7th. Willow Vaughn threw 27’11” to place 3rd in shot put, with solid efforts from teammates A’Riyah Clement and Piper Sova.

Looking for something fun to do this Friday night? Please join us when Swan Valley Varsity Baseball will take on Caro in a doubleheader at Dow Diamond in Midland at 4:30 p.m. All fans and spectators are to enter the stadium from the southeast end behind right field. Tickets are $5 (cash only) for Kindergarten - Adult. Students in 6th-12th grade get in for free with presentation of student ID. Swan Valley Little League Players also get in for free by wearing their jerseys to the game. Concessions will be available (credit only) and 50/50 tickets will be sold before and during the first game. The winning 50/50 ticket will be announced shortly after the start of the 2nd game. 🏃‍♀️ Track Highlights from the Christa McAuliffe Triangular Meet on April 22nd! 🎉 What a phenomenal showing by the Swan Valley Girls track team! They dominated both matchups, defeating Christa McAuliffe 112-12 and cruising past Rittmueller 88-41. The team showed incredible depth and talent across the board—here are just some of the standouts from this stellar meet: 🌟 Top Performers: Stella Frantz blazed through the 100m dash, claiming 1st with a swift 14.31! Isabella Smith and Olivea Hernandez powered through the 200m dash for a 1-2 finish—Smith clocking 30.66, and Hernandez right behind at 31.46! In the 400m, Addison Ball took gold with a strong time of 1:05.19. Distance queen Ava Stroud ran a gutsy double: 2nd in the 800m (2:58) and 1st in the mile (6:45)! She was followed by Emma Coven (7:15) and Lorraine Danielski (7:32), sweeping the podium. Gianna Rodarte conquered the 2-mile with a winning time of 15:55. Hurdles were a clean sweep! In the 55m hurdles, Poppy Weyand led the charge at 10.20, followed closely by Nalini Nguyen (10.89) and Clara Irvine (10.93). They repeated the feat in the 200m hurdles with the same trio finishing 1-2-3! The relay squads were unbeatable: 4x100 (Unger, Smith, Ball, Frantz): 1st place in 55.72 4x200 (Thomas, Smith, Ball, Frantz): 1st place in 1:59 4x400 (Weyand, Miller, Stroud, Hernandez): 1st place in 4:46 4x800 (Wagner, Rodarte, Thompson, Miller): 1st place in 12:02 In the field, Willow Vaughn dominated shot put with a throw of 27'3", while Piper Sova secured 3rd at 25'8". 👏 Way to go, Lady Vikes! Track Highlights from the Christa McAuliffe Triangular Meet on April 22nd! 🏅 What a day for the Swan Valley Boys track team! They triumphed over Christa McAuliffe with an impressive score of 102-26. Although they faced a tough challenge against Rittmueller, they put up a great fight, finishing 50.33 to 77.67. 🌟 Top Performers: Sawyer Murphy sprinted to victory in the 200m dash with an amazing time of 16.20 and secured 3rd place in the long jump, leaping 16'7"! Vaughn Trombley showcased his endurance by completing the 1600m in 5:36. Connor Charboneau made a thrilling comeback to win the 3200m by just 0.6 seconds, finishing with a time of 12:02! 🎉 The shot put saw a powerful performance from Will Nichols and Colten Ray, both throwing a solid distance of 37'0".
