Meet the Candidates Night - TONIGHT

Please take a minute to read our weekly announcements.
On October 16, the SVMS CSOs (Chief Science Officers Norah Jennings, Piper Sova, and Advisor Mrs. Blaesser) visited MBS International Airport for an educational and hands-on experience at their Fall Cabinet Meeting.
The students gained valuable insights into the logistics, construction, and community impact of the airport’s operations, particularly, the role jets play in the region.
Additionally, the group was introduced to an innovative project by Dow in Canada focused on eliminating carbon emissions, reinforcing the importance of sustainability in global industries.
As part of the visit, the CSOs toured the airport's fire department, where they observed firefighting procedures and learned about the specialized foam used to extinguish fires. They also had the exciting opportunity to tour and go on top of the fire trucks, and airport snow plow, further enhancing their understanding of emergency response at large-scale facilities.
