The Swan Valley Varsity Baseball and Softball Teams traveled to Alma tonight for league play. Varsity Baseball split on the night wining the 2nd game 7-2. The Lady Vikes went 2-0 on the night taking the first game 15-0 and prevailing in the 2nd outing 8-5!

JV Baseball improved their record to 8-3 with two wins over Alma tonight: 12-3 and 4-3. Pitchers were Ray (3 IP, 2K), Darabos (4.2 IP, 5K), Young (2.1 IP, 1K). Leachman caught both games.
Offense hit leaders were Reynolds, Bedford, Smith, Toner, and Darabos with two hits each. Stoney, Leachman, Kowalski, Irvine and Young had one hit each.

The Girls Varsity Track team lost a tough matchup in Wednesday’s TVC meet vs Freeland, but not without lots of success from many athletes marking top-3 scoring finishes including Sydney Kuhn: 1st place 200m, 1st place 400m (PR), Aubrey Hare: 1st place 100h (PR), 1st place 300 hurdles, Grace Spear: 2nd place 100m (PR), Jayden Hartley: 3rd place 100m (PR), MaryGrace Luplow: 3rd place 800m (PR), Haven Rohde: 2nd place HJ, 4x400 Relay: 1st place (Hartley, Spear, Beery, Powell)
Others with PRs include: Addison Newman (100m), Alexis Mendoza (100m, 200m) Joslin Steele (100m, 200m, LJ), Abbigail Megerle (100m), Haven Rohde (100m), Alexis Fries (100m, 200m, LJ), Reese Beery (400m, 800m), Emma Beckman (1600m), Sydney Beemer (1600m), Kolbi Stipanovich (shot put), Ellie Dunn (shot put), Sevianna Berlin (discus)
The team is back in action Friday 4/18 with athletes going to both the Chesaning Track & Field Classic and the Oakland Elaine Leigh Invitational.
The boys volleyball team traveled to Grand Blanc tonight for the season opener. They played Swartz Creek, North Branch/Lapeer, and Grand Blanc and bringing home three wins! Great start to the season 3-0!!

Swan Valley Varsity Baseball traveled to Freeland today and took the first game 7-5. The Vikings were up 7-2 in the bottom of the 4th inning in the 2nd game when the game was called due to darkness.

Join us for a night of fun and Viking Baseball!

Swan Valley High School students along with the BPA organization volunteered at the Amazing Grace Animal Rescue today.
The group helped cleaned cages, changed cat litter, washed walls, cages, windows, and spend time with the animals.

NHS students spent the afternoon cleaning up our two-mile stretch of M52 as part of the Adopt A Highway program. 22 bags of trash were picked up today! Great job, NHS!





The Girls Track and Field Team opened up their outdoor season last night at Frankenmuth vs the Eagles and the Garber Dukes. Stand out performances include Sydney Kuhn with a first place finish in both the 300 hurdles and the 100m dash with PR‘s in both and a SCHOOL RECORD in the 100m. Aubrey Hare finished first in the 100m hurdles and second in the 300m hurdles along with being a member of the first place 4x100m team. The other members of the winning 4x100 include Grace Spear, Mackenzie Powell, and Zara Hayes. The 4x200 (Powell, Mendoza, Steele, Megerle) and 4x400 (Spear, Luplow, Hartley, Hare ) meter relays both placed first as well! Zara also placed 3rd in the high jump. Haven Rhode won the high jump with a mark of 4’9 and posted a PR in the 100m dash. Others who achieved PR in the 100 include Grace (2nd place), Jadyn Hartley, Joslin Steele, and Alexis Fries. Jadyn and MaryGrace Luplow also posted a PR in the 200m dash along with Alexis Mendoza in the 400m. Alexis Fries and Joslin Steele also achieved new PRs in long jump.
On the distance side, Emma Beckman, Sydney Beemer, and Simin Husenova posted PRs in both their 800 and 1600m races with senior Reese Beery also PR’ing in the 1600, good for a 3rd place finish.
In the throws, each of our girls throwers (Espinoza, Randall, Dunn, Berlin, and Stipanovich) posted either a personal or seasonal best in both the discus and shot put.
The team is back in action this Saturday at Freeland High School for the Freeland Invite.

The boys track team started the TVC regular season on Wednesday, April 9th at Frankenmuth. The team had a fantastic overall effort but came up 11 points short against Muth and beat Garber to start 1 & 1 on the season.
Athletes with 1st place finishes were Boston Streng-Beougher 200m & 400m T1st w/ Ryder Stipanovich, Hunter Albrecht 300m hurdles, 4x100m Relay team Krantz, McMurren, Pelt, Zahn. 4x200m Relay team Streng-Beougher, Delisle, Krantz, Zwingman, 4x400 Relay team Delisle, Stipanovich, Zwingman, Strength-Beogher, Simbad Murtic 5’ 10” (PR) in the high jump and Jamison Pelt in the long jump. Those that had PRs (Personal Records) were Ayden Teneyuque 200m 25.79, Spencer Dammann 1600m 4:55.82, Jaden Rodriguez 1600m 5:03.22, Marcus Blankenship 1600m 6:08.66, Alex Fulgencio 110m hurdles 19.49, in the discus: Gabe Barrigar 83’ 8”, Logan Fanning 81’5”, Nolan Wiktorowski 79’7”.
There's a lot of good things happening early in the season all throughout the program.
JV Baseball improved to 5-0 on the season, picking up two more wins against Garber tonight 9-5 and 16-3.
Pitchers were Darabos (3IP, 6K), Stoney (2IP, 1K), Bedford (1.2IP, 1K), and Young (1.1IP, 2K). Offense leaders were Ray with 3 hits, Stoney and Reynolds each had two hits, and Leachman, Irvine, Toner, Young, Bedford and Rush all contributed a hit.
JV plays next at Shepherd Saturday.
