SWAN VALLEY SPRING SPORTS INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM AWARD WINNERS... Congratulations to the 72 spring student-athletes for earning the Scholar Athlete Award with a GPA of 3.75 or higher in Trimester Three! Recognition is also being given to the Swan Valley Varsity Softball Team for earning the Team Academic Award with a team average GPA of 3.85! The Lady Vikes had the highest team GPA than any of the other spring sports teams at Swan Valley High School! The team will get a catered lunch courtesy of the Athletic Department. SWAN VALLEY SUMMER OPEN WEIGHT ROOM HOURS START MONDAY... Attention Swan Valley Middle School and High School Students and Parents / Guardians! The Swan Valley High School Weight Room will be open in the mornings and evenings starting Monday, June 16th for incoming 6th-12th grade students. The summer open weight room hours program is intended to help improve students’ athletic performance, reduce athlete injuries, and learn lifelong fitness and movement skills. Summer is a prime time to make gains in strength and fitness! Please see the flyer for more details.

Reminder: Don’t forget to sign up for our Youth Basketball Camp, happening July 21–24! Registration forms can be dropped off at the school office or mailed to the high school, addressed to Shelly Hanson. To guarantee a camp t-shirt, registrations MUST be received by July 7th.

SWAN VALLEY BASEBALL REGIONAL GAME UPDATE (6/4) Due to the unplayable field conditions, the Varsity Baseball Regional Game scheduled for today at Garber at 4:00 p.m. is being rescheduled to tomorrow, June 5th at 4:00 p.m. Any GoFan tickets already purchased will be good for tomorrow's game. Members of Swan Valley's National Honor Society spent the day working the Soup Kitchen at Old Towne Christian Outreach in downtown Saginaw. Students prepped the food, baked cakes, served the food/drinks, and bussed tables. Some students also helped out in the donation center sorting donations and folding bedding. Viking Pride! 💜🤍

Swan Valley Varsity Baseball will take on Frankenmuth in the regional semifinals, tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4th at 4:00 p.m. at Garber High School. As the boys and girls track teams wrapped-up a historic MHSAA track season, they made their way to Hamilton High School for the Division II MHSAA State Finals. Sydney Kuhn continued her amazing senior year by winning the 400m, winning the very next race in the 300m hurdles, placing 2nd in the 200m dash, then running a very memorable anchor leg in helping the 4x400 team, including Grace Spear, Mackenzie Powell, and Aubrey Hare, earn State Champion honors in that event. The points from those events earned the Swan Valley Girls Team 3rd place at the MHSAA State Finals. Congrats!! - - - The boys team started the day off with the 4x800m relay team of Murphy Wagner, Jaden Rodriguez, Ryder Stipanovich, Owen Fennelly and ran a season best and nearly school record time of 8:10.94. Boston Streng-Beougher made the medal podium in both the 400m (6th) and 200m (5th) before the 4x400m relay team, also including Cal Delisle, Owen Hare, Ryder Stipanovich earned All-State honors. The boys team earned 20th out of 60 Division II schools represented. It was an incredible and historic year for both boys and girls track teams!!

Swan Valley Varsity Baseball won their district today at Alma! They defeated Bullock Creek in the semifinals then won over Shepherd in the finals 4-1. The Vikings will advance to the regional semifinals on Wednesday against Frankenmuth @ Garber. Viking Pride!

Swan Valley Varsity Softball traveled to Alma College tonight to take on Birch Run in the Battle of the Plaid. The Lady Vikes took both games from the Panthers by a score of 7-1 and 5-1. Swan Valley will take on Frankenmuth in the district semifinals on Saturday at noon at John Glenn High School. Good luck ladies! Viking Pride!
