VIKING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 29th)...
Swan Valley Athletics is honoring 2 more Viking Athletes of the Week from the week of September 29th. Congratulations to Jacob Farr (Freshman Football) and Jamison Pelt (Varsity Football) for earning this prestigious award!
Here is what their nominators had to say about them fulfilling one or more of the Viking Athletic Core Values:
"Jacob is as unselfish as they come on the football field. He's learned 3 different positions on offense and 3 different positions on defense. Whatever I ask him to do, he responds with "I'll do whatever you need me to do coach". His work ethic is unmatched. We could all use more kids like Jacob Farr!"
"Jamison is a student athlete who makes me proud to be a part of the Viking Community. Recently, I witnessed him communicate with our young Vikings in the most positive and memorable ways. One instance of this was when a parent asked Jamison to take a picture with his son. Not only did JP take a photo at the end of the game, but then he brought the little guy through the tunnel of cheerleaders. The smile on that little guy's face was priceless, and this will be a moment he will not forget. At another game, I witnessed Jamison playing catch with the younger kids at a JV/Freshman game. During that time, he was complimenting, encouraging, and coaching these kids. Jamison is an excellent example of kindness and sportsmanship for our little ones. Thank you, JP, for being a positive role model in our community."
