Here is what their nominators had to say about them fulfilling one or more of the Viking Athletic Core Values:
"Hudson leads by example. He shows up every day ready to put the work in to get better. He puts extra work in the weight room after practice nearly every day. He's never one I have to question because I know he's giving it his all. Future is bright for this young man!"
"Our senior setter, Maddie, has worked extremely hard to secure her position this season. She has grown in her skill level as well as her volleyball IQ. She does well on and off the court. She is always asking how to get better and makes adjustments."

VIKING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (WEEK OF OCTOBER 6TH)...
Swan Valley Athletics is honoring 3 more Viking Athletes of the Week from the week of October 6th. Congratulations to Ian Caverly (JV Football), Murphy Wagner (Varsity Boys Cross Country), and Lily Swift (JV Volleyball) for earning this prestigious award!
Here is what their nominators had to say about them fulfilling one or more of the Viking Athletic Core Values:
"Ian is a first year player that has made great strides throughout the season. Although he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves, he is always leading by example at practice. His teammates love him and he never quits on them or himself. I just want him to know that it doesn’t go unnoticed by the coaches or his teammates. Keep up the great work Ian both on the field and in the classroom!"
"Murphy Wagner pushes himself to be the best version of himself every single day. His dedication to training, clean eating, and personal growth sets a powerful example for his teammates. Murphy is self-motivated, disciplined, and all business when it comes to practice, making sure everyone around him stays focused and accountable. Though he leads quietly, his actions speak volumes. After battling through injury earlier in his career, Murphy’s comeback shows his toughness, resilience, and true Viking spirit."
"Lily has been a pleasure to coach this year. She brings hard work and dedication to every practice. Lily takes direction from us coaches and applies it every day. Her attitude and contributions to her teammates make her a leader on and off the court."
