A huge THANK YOU to Garber Chevrolet Saginaw from Swan Valley School District staff for the amazing holiday surprise of Tom’s Coffee Truck! What a fun (and delicious!) way to spread cheer and warm up our day!
Your generosity, thoughtfulness, and community spirit truly made our staff feel appreciated this holiday season. Smiles were shared, coffee was enjoyed, and our hearts are full!
Thank you for supporting our Vikings and making the season a little brighter—one cup of java at a time! 💜💜💜

After a whirlwind week of snow shenanigans, glitter explosions, hallway joyrides, and highly questionable “candy cane dust,” Ali the Mischievous "Superintendent" Elf decided she needed a moment of pure Viking comfort.
Witnesses report she whispered things like:
“Victor… you’re my favorite Viking.”
“Thanks for always standing by me… literally.”
💜 Even the wildest elf needs a Viking who never wavers. 💜
Ali, the Mischievious Elf, suggests you nominate a Viking Victor for the month of December. Drawing will take place on Friday, Dec. 19th. Anyone can vote: Students, staff, parents and members of the community. Use this link to nominate: https://bit.ly/3MwxqnA

Glitter is in the carpets.
Glitter is on the lockers.
Glitter is now permanently bonded to at least three people.
Ali, the Mischievous Elf, says this is “exactly the sparkle the district needs.”
✨GLITTER. IS. EVERYWHERE. ✨

After enforcing her highly scientific (and totally real) Viking Snow/Ice Day Rules, Ali the Elf was THRILLED to see that students across the district followed every step.
Ice cubes down toilets? ✔️Backwards pajama fashion show? ✔️
Homework done? (Mostly.) ✔️Elf snow angels everywhere? ✔️❄️
And wouldn’t you know it…
A Snow Day arrived!
Magic? Coincidence? Elf interference? We may never know.
But now that the snow has officially fallen, Ali has moved on to her next “superintendent-level” assignment… ➡️ Cleaning up the mess she definitely encouraged.
“Swan Valley Paparazzi” caught her outside with a shovel, claiming she was performing “official district snow removal duties.” Was she helping? Was she supervising herself? Was she just moving snow from one place to another for fun?
Hard to say…. VERY hard to say.
❄️ At one point she shouted to the Swan Valley Maintenance Crew, “THIS IS WHY YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK!” while twirling and tossing snow “flitfully” (Elf word). This reporter thinks it means to and fro…
Stay tuned—Ali’s winter mischief is far from over, and the sidewalks are only kind of clear...

❄️✨ALI THE MISCHIEVOUS “SUPERINTENDENT” ELF CREATES A NEW SNOW DAY RULE TO INCREASE THE CHANCES OF A SNOW DAY ✨❄️
Ali the Elf was spotted OUTSIDE today, dramatically throwing herself into the snow and creating what she calls the “Official Elf Snow Angel Five Magical Viking Rules:
❄️ ALI’S OFFICIAL SNOW / ICE DAY RULES ❄️
1️⃣ Flush whole ice cubes down every toilet in your house.
(Yes… every single one. Ali says the science is unquestionable.)
2️⃣ Tape pennies to your windows.
For “optimal storm magnetism,” she claims. No one knows what that means.
3️⃣ Wear your pajamas inside out and backwards.
Fashion? No. Weather summoning. Obviously. But, check out the latest edition of Vogue - Elf.
4️⃣ Do ALL your homework and study for ALL your tests for tomorrow.
This increases the “irony level,” ask your English teacher if you’re confused.
5️⃣ And most importantly…
❄️ Make an ELF-SIZED SNOW ANGEL. ❄️
Just like Ali’s. Hands out, legs out, dramatic pose encouraged and eyes shut tight.
Ali assures us that if all these steps are completed and the weather cooperates…
✨ A Snow/Ice Day must legally appear. ✨
(We cannot confirm the legality.)
Stay tuned, Vikings.
Ali is just getting warmed up… or rather… snowed in.
Feel free to add your "proof" (pictures ) below.

Ali the Mischievous “Superintendent” Elf INSPECTS the New Shields Playground!
This morning, staff at Shields Elementary arrived to find a very suspicious scene…
Ali the Elf—clipboard in hand, peppermint boots sparkling—was perched proudly on the brand-new playground equipment like she owned the place.
She claimed she was conducting an “Official Superintendent Safety Inspection.”
But witnesses report the following:
🛝 She tested the slide… six times.
(Twice headfirst. Zero regrets.)
🧗 She scaled the climbing tower while shouting,
“FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES!”
🌀 She spun herself on the equipment until she fell over giggling.
(Professionalism level: elf.)
When asked what she was doing, Ali simply said:
“Making sure it’s FUN enough for the Vikings!”
Before leaving, she posted a tiny sign that read:
“Approved for Maximum Joy. – Ali the Superintendent Elf”
So if your child comes home saying the playground feels extra magical today…
Now you know why.

This just in: Ali “The Mischievous Superintendent” Elf Update: Last night, while everyone in Swan Valley School District was tucked in tight, Ali the Elf was very busy conducting some “important superintendent business.”
First, she climbed up to the rooftop of Havens Elementary to “inspect snow quality for emergency day decisions.” (She gave it an A+, by the way ❄️😄)
Then she snuck into every building across the district, checking:
✔️ Are the hallways shiny?
✔️ Are the whiteboards squeaky clean?
✔️ Do the Vikings need more candy canes? (Her answer: ALWAYS.)
One custodian reported finding her attempting to schedule a snow day “just for morale,” despite there being no snow in the forecast. When questioned, Ali claimed, “I don’t control the weather… yet.”
