Swan Valley School District families and Thomas Township residents: A friendly reminder that the 2024 Homecoming Parade is today (Friday 10/11). The parade begins at Roberts Park on Miller Road, travels south down Miller, west on O'Hern, then North on VanWormer to the Middle School entrance.
This entire route will be closed to traffic from 4:15 until 5:15. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding-we hope to see you along the parade route!

Our First Popcorn Day of the year is tomorrow!!! We charge 50 cents a bag. If you would like to pay for popcorn through December you can send in $3 per child. That way your child can get one bag of popcorn for each of the 6 planned popcorn days until Winter Break!!

Miss Britt was busy in her music class at Shields Elementary today! 1st graders and Young Fives students were hard at work learning how to read notes, how to clap and sing with a beat, and how to identify the tempo of a song-that's how fast or slow the music goes! The Young Fives students also got to learn how to play the tambourine! its a great day for music!

What a great week it has been! Swan Valley School District staff had its opening Kick-Off on Tuesday. After a scrumptious breakfast prepared by our Food Service Department, staff congregated in the gym for our “Viking vs Viking” traditional battle of building against building. This competition turns these fine educators back into students again! The 2024-2025 winner for the coveted Viking Trophy is…..Shields Elementary. Swan Valley staff are ready to welcome back all of our Vikings on Monday morning!
