If you want something on your RESUME that is validated nationally, JOIN BPA (Business Professionals of America). In addition, there are many Scholarship opportunities when you are a member in your Senior Year.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN WRITERS' COMPETITION
Central Michigan Writers' Competition (Formerly the TVC Writing Team) consists of students writing in small groups and competing against other local schools.
Students write persuasive essays, short stories, editorials, poetry, and more! There are two competitions and they take place in the fall.

Description: An organization that recognizes and encourages academic achievement while also developing other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy. The ideals of scholarship, service, leadership, and character are pursued. Performs community service projects throughout the Saginaw area.

FRC Team 5538, The Vikingbots, is an award winning FIRST Robotics team and non-profit.
Founded in 2015, the students in robotics routinely solve challenges in business, computer science, engineering, and math.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Are you interested in leadership and making a difference at school?
Student Government representatives are in charge of various events throughout the school year. Homecoming events such as theme, parade, and assemblies are designed and organized by Student Government. This group also holds an annual canned food drive, class competitions, spirit weeks, and many other events.

SWAN VALLEY DRAMA CLUB
This club consists of students who have the desire to act on stage or learn the equally important art of all things AV/Tech, set design, costuming, stage make up, media/promotions and all things drama! This is a supplement to the class, which is offered during the school day. All students are welcome!

VIKING VOICES A CAPELLA CHOIR
This choir is comprised of all willing and enthusiastic Vikings who share a love of singing! Students learn how to read choral music, the art of A Capella singing, solo and small group singing, all while exploring a wide variety of genres of music. The group performs in the community for Holiday Caroling, concerts and more! You don't need to be a good singer to join, you just need to bring your effort and energy!
