Bethany Campbell Charlton

Bethany Charlton was honored on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Swan Valley High School football field at the school’s graduation ceremony. Bethany is currently the President and CEO of Covenant Healthcare as well as the Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer.
Upon her graduation from SVHS, Bethany earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Saginaw Valley State University and then went on to earn a Master of Science in Administration, Health/Healthcare Administration and Management degree from Central Michigan University.
Beth began her career in May 1989 at St. Luke’s Hospital as a student nurse extern. She has since served in many capacities throughout Covenant, including nurse in the pediatric ICU, Clinical manager for areas such as critical care, heart failure, and birth center. She was the project manager for electronic medical records implementation, and Director of Critical Care. She has also been involved in the Progressive Care and Stroke Programs.
Since 2015, Beth has been the Chief Nursing Officer, adding Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer to her title in 2019.
In July of 2021, Beth took over as President and CEO of Covenant Healthcare. She is the first female and first nurse to hold this position in our county.
According to colleagues, Beth leads in a well-rounded way, using her clinical knowledge and care for patients balanced with her business and organizational skills to make informed, compassionate decisions for all involved.
Beth and her husband Chris live in Saginaw and are parents to Catherine, Nicole, and Nathan.
