Swan Valley High School Class of 2020 and Families:

SENIORS, you are a month away from what should have been your graduation day.  While it is unfortunate that the traditional June commencement is not able to take place due to the world wide pandemic, we are committed to honoring this milestone achievement and offering other ways to show staff and community support for you as you move on to the next chapter in your lives.  We have finalized the plans as detailed below:

May 26th: Cap and Gown Pick Up, iPad Purchase/turn in, and Senior Materials Return (i.e. library books, textbooks, iPads if not purchasing, etc.).  To honor any/all social distancing and safety protocols, students will pull through the high school “bus loop” and remain in their vehicles.  Times are tentatively set for  9:00-11:00 am and 4:00-6:00 pm. More detailed information, along with an electronic copy of the payment sheet, will be emailed one week prior.

June 1st:   We will be sharing a virtual recognition of the Class of 2020 at 7:00 p.m., which was your original graduation date and time. A  link to the presentation will be placed on the high school webpage, and it will also be sent to you directly.  We encourage you to grab some popcorn, gather the family around a screen, and enjoy the show!

July 27th SAVE THE DATE!: Swan Valley High School WILL be hosting a 2020 Commencement Ceremony as conditions allow.  Although we will try to retain all of the traditions typical of past ceremonies, we must wait until closer to that date to make firm decisions on the details of this event.  More information on this exciting event will be forthcoming.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in these challenging times. If nothing else, the Class of 2020 will have a “once in a lifetime story” to share at their class reunions and with future generations. We look forward to helping you with this one final celebration before you officially join 6000+ individuals from around the world  who proudly refer to themselves as Swan Valley High School alumni.

Keep learning, stay safe, stay healthy.
